Kamehameha Day!
This holiday honors Kamehameha the Great who united the Hawaiian Islands. There are all sorts of celebrations and festivals that take place in Hawaii to celebrate today. It was proclaimed a holiday when Hawaii became a state in 1959.
Someday I will go to Hawaii. Not sure when, but it will happen. Maybe when Southwest starts flying there . .
